Acts of Kindness was designed for Charity Week, responding to the campaign's theme of everyday generosity. Recognised by King's College London Islamic Society (KCL ISOC), the project took the form of a hoodie that society members could buy to support charitable work abroad. It gave a shared cause a visible identity, connecting something people could wear with a practical opportunity to help others.
The design centres on two outlined hands connected by a flowing line: a simple image of reaching out, giving and human connection. Expressive serif lettering sits alongside direct sans-serif text, while Arabic lettering forms part of the same composition. Together, the illustration and typography make the theme tangible, carrying a message of care in a format that could live beyond the campaign itself.
The hoodie went into mass production for society members to purchase. Its sales contributed multiple thousands to charity, helping fund support for people in need abroad. That outcome gives the project its significance: a graphic developed around kindness became a real garment, bought and worn by a community, with a tangible contribution to a wider fundraising effort.
The selected work presents the hoodie alongside flat print artwork in dark, blue and sage treatments. These show how the central illustration and bilingual typography translate across different colourways while keeping the campaign's message consistent. From the initial visual idea to its use on a produced garment, the project brought illustration, apparel design and community fundraising together.
