Overgrowth explores the meeting of a carved human form and the slower growth of the natural world. Moss gathers in the face’s recesses, while small stems trace its edges. The rough stone surface and softened features give the head a sense of age and quiet erosion.
Two presentations examine the same form. A warmer, softly lit setting brings out the surface detail and surrounding growth; a darker treatment isolates the silhouette and gives the plants a sharper presence. Together they study how light and setting change the character of a single subject.
